During the development of the Spring / Summer 2026 collection, one small but important question kept returning to us.Why is it that when you add a clip-on lens, the personality of the frame often disappears?Traditional clip-on lenses are usually dark or black. While they offer protection from sunlight, they also change the character of the frame entirely. The colors, textures, and details that made the frame unique suddenly fade behind a dark surface.In that moment, something is lost.
At Sossa, we design frames with great attention to color, depth, and material. From laminated acetate structures to carefully layered tones, every frame carries its own visual identity.
We wanted a clip-on solution that would protect the eyes without hiding the design
That idea led us to develop a new directio for the Spring / Summer 2026 collection: colored clip-on lenses.Instead of covering the frame with a dark layer, these lenses allow the character of the frame to remain visible. The colors of the acetate still breathe through the design, and the frame keeps its personality even when the clip-on is attached.Sun protection no longer means sacrificing the beauty of the frame.

With this new development, we wanted them to become something more.The colored lenses introduce a softer interaction with light and allow the frame to keep its presence. Rather than overpowering the design, they complement it.The result is a more balanced experience: a frame that protects your eyes while still expressing its design.
